Big Changes

I have finally completed my masters!!!! I graduated on Saturday with my classmates and now officially can sign things M.A. CFY-SLP. So exciting!!! I had a goal to be hired before graduation and was waiting and waiting. The day before graduation I got a call offering me a job. I will be working in two skilled nursing facilities which has been my goal and dream. So excited to be done with school and only a few weeks away from starting work.

Over the weekend my parents were able to visit J's and my place. We have started to decorate as I add my belongings to the house. We also just bought two fish bowls to hang on the wall for our two new beta fish. Dovah our Dragon scale beta, and Katom our Veiltale beta. We were excited to show them off to everyone.

Today I went shopping for the first time for my wedding dress. I was able to narrow it down to two and have two more stores to go to before I make an ultimate decision. It is so hard to make a decision when you love two dresses equally. Luckily I have time to figure it out with the wedding so far away.

Since I have to wait for a couple weeks before I can work, I'm going to work on unpacking and sorting through my boxes that I brought when I moved in. I also want to start working on some art projects or trying to write a book. I might also start doing yard work more often if the weather gets nice again.

So any ideas for a novel or for an art project would be helpful from my readers.

Engaged!!! And also dying a little inside.

So it has been a while since I last posted and many amazing things have happened. Here is a list of what has happened:
1) I am engaged (January 25, 2013).
2) I  am in the downward stretch towards graduation
3) I am loving my internship
4) I had an unofficial interview for a possible job (sadly with lots of driving)
5) I am writing a 15-20 page paper that is killing me
6) I found out how much my loans are for me to repay (this is what is making me die inside...I found out I have undergrad loans to pay)

So that's about it for my life update...I'm busy with my paper and my Sims family and soccer tonight with my fiance and our team. So everyone have a great weekend!!

Holidays are over and School is started

Well the holidays are over. I'm hoping all of my readers had a good Christmas and New Years, and whatever other holidays you all celebrate at this time of the year. I had a great time with my family and got to say good by to my coworkers at the job I have been working at for the past 5 1/2 years. I got some amazing presents from my family to help me start having a full functional kitchen; a new crockpot, tupperware, and items my grammy doesn't need anymore like a roasting pan and a glass pie plate.

Classes were supposed to start Monday, but due to extreme temperatures and a storm classes were canceled Monday and Tuesday. So I had to wait until Wednesday to start my Internship. Which of course is amazing. I love it already. The patients are already getting used to me. I have done several evals and started picking up therapy. There have been some sad parts already too, but those I rather not right about. I have today off from my internship because my supervisor already had it planned to be off.

So what have I done with my days off? I have been studying for the Praxis. I have just a week left until I take it. The Praxis is a test that many professionals take before certification or to be licensed. I am taking the SLP version of it and I really hope to pass. I have been studying constantly since New Years. Last night was the first day I did not study. I just needed one night of a break and that was it. The next three days will be spent studying and taking practice tests. I barely passed the first test I took, and I also was able to finish it in about an hour (the time limit is two hours).

Well I think that is about it for updates for now. I know I'm really bad at doing updates. I will work on that.
